What to see in Jarosławiec in 3 days - complete guide 2026

The perfect weekend on the Baltic Sea: a lighthouse, a beach with a pier, Velo Baltica, fishermen's restaurants, and storms. Map, opening hours, and recommended accommodations.

Jarosławiec on the Baltic Sea is the perfect destination for a weekend or short break—it combines a wide beach, a historic lighthouse dating back to 1838, a fishing port, and the international Velo Baltica cycling route. Below, you'll find a complete 3-day itinerary —with a map, attraction opening hours, and recommended accommodations.

Day 1 - The lighthouse, the beach and the first sunset over the Baltic Sea

In the morning, we recommend a walk along the cliff to the lighthouse . The octagonal red brick tower rises to a height of 33.3 meters and is accessible for climbing. The upper gallery offers views of the entire stretch of coast from Mielno to Łeba. The lighthouse has been in operation since 1838 and is one of the most recognizable landmarks on the Polish coast.

In the afternoon, it's beach, swimming, and a pier . Jarosławiec has one of the wider beaches in this part of the Baltic Sea, a gentle entrance to the sea, and—thanks to its microclimate—the water is often warmer than in Kołobrzeg or Sopot. In July and August, the swimming areas are supervised by WOPR lifeguards.

In the evening, watch the sunset from the promenade or pier . Jarosławiec lies on a stretch of coastline facing due west, so the sun sets directly over the sea—one of the most photogenic sunsets on the Polish coast. We recommend stopping at one of the pier-side cafes and watching it over a glass of good tea.

Day 2 - Velo Baltica and surrounding attractions

Spend your second day cycling along the Velo Baltica route (EuroVelo R10)—an international trail running along the Baltic coast. From Jarosławiec, you can reach Darłowo (15 km) or Ustka (20 km) via safe, well-marked cycle paths, avoiding busy roads.

What's on the way:

  • Naćmierz - a small village with a historic church and the Museum of the Slavic Land
  • Łazy - another seaside town, famous for its wild beach
  • Lake Wicko - Set aside 1-2 hours for a leisurely walk around the lake
  • Lake Kopań - perfect for kayaking or fishing

In the afternoon, return to Jarosławiec and head to the fishing port —you can buy fresh fish straight from the boat (herring, cod, salmon, and sometimes flounder). Ideally, around 10-12 a.m., when the morning boats return.

Day 3 - Lighthouse, museum and farewell to the sea

It's worth devoting your third day to the Jarosławiec Lighthouse (160 steps, 30km panorama in all directions, ~10 PLN ticket, open seasonally 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM). From the platform, you can see the Słowińskie Coast, Lake Wicko, and the shifting sand dunes of Łeba in good weather.

Afternoon: Museum of the Slavic Region in Naćmierz (10 km from Jarosławiec) — a small but interesting museum with exhibits related to the sea, amber, and the history of fishing. Tickets: 8-12 PLN, 1-2 hours.

In the evening, take some last beach photos, grab dinner at a local fish and chip shop, and pack up. If you still have some energy left, check out the amber jewelry shops on the promenade —they make a great souvenir from the Baltic Sea.
